Shannon Bell
Executive Vice President, Chief Digital Officer
Shannon Bell is the Executive Vice President and Chief Digital Officer for OpenText. Shannon is responsible for all our IT and digital systems, data platforms, networks and communications, commercial and corporate cloud operations, as well as its security and compliance.
Shannon is an accomplished IT leader with over 25 years of experience driving technology transformations and delivering innovative solutions to the market. She has led many large integration efforts, and brings international experience in technology, product management, development, delivery, and operations.
Prior to joining OpenText, Shannon spent 4 years at Rogers Communications where she led all aspects of IT, digital, cloud and data and played a crucial role in leading the technology integration of the Shaw acquisition.
Prior to Rogers, Shannon spent 8 years at Amdocs where she led product and strategy for Digital, Intelligence and BSS. This was following Amdocs’ acquisition of Bridgewater Systems, where Shannon drove product strategy and execution for the network policy control offering, which led to the Amdocs acquisition. During Shannon’s tenure at Amdocs, her leadership and strategic vision were pivotal in driving product innovation across the portfolio and shaping the company’s digital strategy.
Shannon’s leadership journey has also encompassed notable roles in Canada, the US, and Europe with companies including NewStep Networks, MetaSolv Software, Axiom Systems, and Newbridge Networks. With a relentless drive for success and a dedication to continuous learning, Shannon remains at the forefront of the IT industry. Shannon graduated with an MBA from University of Surrey in England.
She is passionate about leveraging technology to drive business growth and is committed to spearheading impactful transformations and shaping the future of digital innovation with data at OpenText.
